Who Can Help?
LSNWJ offers volunteer opportunities
Attorneys
This includes:
- private practitioners,
- associates in law firms,
- retired attorneys
- corporate attorneys
Law Graduates and 3L Law Students
Law students and law graduates are permitted to appear in court pursuant to R.1:21-1 (3) for the representation of legal services clients.
Paralegals
Paralegals who support counsel serving under legal projects sponsored by a corporate employer are eligible.
Outreach Ambassadors
We welcome volunteers who can attend events to share information about our services, or who can tag or create social media within our guidelines. Students can earn verified volunteer credit hours.

How Can You Join Us as a Volunteer for Equal Justice?
Legal Projects
Your company or law firm can work with us to develop a legal project delivering an area of legal assistance or assistance to a particular client population, with financial sponsorship of staff or by supplying your volunteers.
Individual Attorneys and Mentors
You can sign up as a Volunteer Lawyer to accept a case assignment in an area of your choice, or sign up to mentor a pro bono attorney in your area of experience in the law.
